The pies and Scotch Eggs we’ve picked up are very special and deserve a lofty status.

Mat collects our pies every Friday from Eat My Pies in Hackney who are headed up by Andy Bates, a pie master who regularly appears on the telly. He’s got a vast repertoire of tasty sweet and savoury treats and over the next few weeks we’ll be doing the decent thing and testing and trialling as many of them as possible.

Andy creates amazing flavours of Scotch Eggs (Chorizo, Black Pudding and a vegetarian Mexican Three Bean, as well as the traditional variety of course) and a truly scrumptious Chicken & Ham Hock layered pie.
